Botswana has received the esteemed “Best Stand in Doing Business” Award at the ongoing World Travel Market (WTM) Africa event in Cape Town, South Africa.

Indeed, the Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) designed a vibrant, business-focused exhibition space that showcased the country’s distinctive tourism experiences and welcomed 17 tour operators committed to promoting travel to Botswana.

According to BTO, the stand showcased Botswana’s strength, diversity, and potential as a premier travel destination, garnering strong praise from industry professionals, APA News reports.

“This recognition honours the vibrant, business-driven atmosphere at the BTO stand where 17 hosted tour operators came together to represent the strength, diversity, and potential of Botswana’s tourism offerings,” according to the organisation on Friday.

Accepting the award on Botswana’s behalf, Minister of Environment and Tourism Wynter Mmolotsi expressed pride in the nation’s accomplishment.

“Botswana is here to sell our pristine tourism to the world,” he stated.

Botswana’s tourism industry, celebrated for its stunning wildlife and exceptional conservation practices, has been a vital pillar of the nation’s economy for years.

Iconic destinations like the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park have captured international interest, establishing Botswana as a frontrunner in sustainable tourism.
